A small project from Hamburg.
Glow Giver started without a plan. In 2022, in our own apartment in Hamburg. We simply wanted nicer furniture around us — and didn’t want to buy new things while the old ones still had life in them. One chair became two. A table became a cabinet. Eventually, the apartment filled up.
That’s how the first pieces emerged that didn’t stay with us. We passed them on, with care, to people who think about things in a similar way.
What has soul, deserves to stay.At the end of 2024 came the first apartment in Bremerhaven. We look after it ourselves — from refinishing to renting. No agency in between. What we learned with furniture holds for apartments too: slowly, by hand, with respect for what is already there.

We work slowly, because fast work is rarely good work. We choose materials that last — wood, linen, stone, honest paint. What an apartment or a piece of furniture has gathered over the years — patina, small scratches, a certain warmth — we let stay, as far as we can.
What we can repair, we repair. What can be restored, we restore. Buying new is the last choice, not the first — for furniture, for apartments, for everything in between.
The apartments we keep, we rent out ourselves. We handle the keys, the questions between, the small repairs every apartment needs sooner or later. No management between us and the people who live in our places.
