03 Workshop

Restored slowly, kept honestly.

It began with wanting nicer furniture around us — and with the conviction that the old shouldn’t be replaced, but restored. Over time, one chair became many pieces.

We look for pieces that haven’t had their best years yet — and bring them back by hand. Wood is stripped, oiled, sometimes re-glued. The patina stays visible. What time has given to a piece, we let it keep. Every piece passed on is one that didn’t have to be made new — and wouldn’t have ended up in landfill.

Some pieces stay with us. Others we pass on. You’ll find those below.

A hand applying linseed oil to a walnut surface on a dining table in an apartment
Tools laid out on a wooden table — a plane, sandpaper, a small bottle of linseed oil
